Weaving together an education in horticulture, with a love of gardening, design and guiding workshops, I have created a unique garden and studio where individuals and community can thrive and grow.
As early as 4 years old, I loved to craft wildflower bouquets and create secret potions. These sunny days remain some of my most cherished memories.
I later grounded my creativity and passion for nature through the sciences and business by pursuing my studies at the University of Guelph, receiving a BSc in Horticulture and an MSc in Agricultural Economics.
In 1991 the seeds for Lutaflore were planted. Like so often is the case, necessity is the mother of invention. In the early years when my baby girls had diaper rash, I turned to my experience with botanicals, and developed and branded a salve that I sold at craft shows and local markets.
And now, after over thirty years as an independent Marketing Research Consultant specializing in life sciences, in particular, agriculture, animal health, and human health, my life has come full circle, and those early seeds I sowed are blossoming, as my dreams for Lutaflore are realized.
It is with great pleasure and a deep respect for nature that I now share my horticultural knowledge and my passion for creativity inspired by flowers.
I look forward to meeting you!
Maryse
